I'm a freelance journalist and photographer based in Washington, D.C. I have written in depth about a variety of scientific topics--including climate change, health, and renewable energy--but enjoy pursuing compelling stories of all kinds. My photography has appeared in numerous national and international publications. I currently teach a Science Writing course at American University.
